Anne Ayala    As a competitor, an FEI ride manager and a 4 star FEI judge, Anne has served the endurance community in many important roles.  She received the 2000 Pard’ners Award with  Overlook Nuryev, more usually known as Beau.  anne ayala
  Dr. Duane Barnett is chair of the AERC drug rule sub-committee, and a well-known endurance veterinarian, judging both AERC and FEI rides.   And occasionally riding and crewing.

Kathleen Crandell Kathleen Crandell received her MS and PhD in Equine Nutrition, Exercise Physiology and Reproduction from Virginia Tech; and is currently working as a nutritionist with Kentucky Equine Research.   She has competed in Endurance Riding and Competitive Trail and is glad to answer any questions on feeding endurance horses, particularly problem horses.

Brent Credillereceived his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia in 2008. Following completion of his veterinary training, Brent completed a rotating Equine/Food Animal Internship at Colorado State University. Currently, he is in his first year of residency training in Large Animal Internal Medicine and is jointly enrolled in a graduate program in Physiology at the University of Georgia.

ChrisFortin Christine Fortin, DVM is a 1989 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and heads the equine division at Center Hill Veterinary Clinic in Darlington, Wisconsin. She has a special interest in equine lameness and podiatry and services numerous endurance clientele in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. Dr. Fortin participated in the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany as a crew veterinarian.
Will Harlanis five-time champion and course record holder for the Mount Mitchell Challenge 40-Mile Trail Run, a race to the top of the highest mountain east of the Rockies.  He is also editor-in-chief of Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine and lives off-grid on a small organic farm near Barnardsville, N.C Will Harlan

 Susan Harrisis an international clinician, riding teacher, equestrian author and artist.  She is a Senior Centered Riding Instructor and Clinician.  Her clinics with 'The Painted Horse' are very informative and provide a visible way to absorb equine anatomy.  She is also a frequent contributor to Equus magazine.  Her web site.

todd holbrook Dr. Todd Holbrook      teaches at Oklahoma State University and is an active endurance vet.  His work deals with impacts of stress (e.g., trailering and 100 mile competitions) on horses, including occurence of Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome.
Dr. Art King     Art has over 30 years as a veterinary judge, and is a familiar face at AERC and FEI endurance rides, judging over 20 events each year.  He is always ready to share his knowledge, with information on electrolytes, heat stress, nutrition, showmanship, and more. art king
Binky Krahn Binky Krahn has been a rider for over 50 years. During the past 15
years she has studied Dressage as a means to enhance the strength,
flexibility and balance of any horse. Binky has competed through Prix St.
George, and teaches riders from beginners to the upper levels.   She teaches primarily in middle-Wisconsin area.
Doug Lietzke Doug Lietzke is an active sports psychologist, long distance runner, and 100-mile endurance rider.
Anne Riddle Lundblad is a nationally-ranked ultramarathoner who has competed in international competitions as a member of the United States National 100km Team. She is a licensed clinical social worker with special interest in Sports and Performance Counseling. In addition to working in the Counseling Center at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC, she provides counseling, coaching, and consulting to athletes in both individual and group settings.  Check out one of her recent events! Ken Marcella Dr. Ken Marcella has been on the staff of the University of Virginia as a professor of Comparative Medicine, proceeding into private sport horse practice.  Within the endurance world, he has vetted many, many endurance rides, including as an FEI vet, Head Treatment Vet at the PanAm Endurance Championship in 2004, and Head Vet for the AERC National Championship in 2008.   He is interested in muscle damage, lameness, and performance horse issues and doing clinical field research projects in those and other areas. 
Jim Masterson was the Equine Bodyworker for the US Endurance Team at the WEG in Aachen in 2006, and the World Championships in Malaysia in 2008.  Jim teaches courses in the Masterson Method™ of Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork™, and works regularly on equine competitiors at the FEI level in Endurance, Show Jumping and Combined Driving.   Masterson Method link. Lisa Maxwell

Lisa Maxwell    is an accomplished classical dressage rider and trainer of the French school, who works with horses and riders to achieve balance, self-carriage and harmony for improved performance in endurance racing.  She teaches primarily in the western North Carolina area.   Sugar Creek Farm link.

Stagg Newman    has earned national championships and international gold medals.  His horse, Ramegwa Drubin, was the 2003 Hall of Fame inductee.  Drubin and Stagg had 20 years of endurance competition together.  Stagg served two terms as president of the AERC.  Shown here with 5-time Old Dominion winner, Jayel Super. Gene Ovnicek Gene Ovnicek is nationally and internationally recognized as a farrier, clinician and researcher. A pioneer in the study of wild horse hoof form and function, Gene has combined his 47 years of farrier experience with the information from other scientific research as a foundation for treating and preventing equine lameness.    Gene's work has led to the development of the "Natural Balance" concept in hoof care and trim.  Hope for Horses link.
Jeff Pauley    is an AFA-certified journeyman farrier, who has competed in reining and worked with USA East endurance as well as serving as the Team Farrier for USA Endurance in Aachen in 2006 and in Malaysia in 2008. Jeff Pauley
Dr. Sarah RalstonVMD, PhD, DACVN is an equine nutritionist at Rutgers University. She has been an avid endurance/competitive trail rider for over 30 years.  Her research includes nutrition of endurance and performance horses; and nutritional management of stress.  Her proudest moment: Completion of the OD 100 in the top ten in 2000! kerry ridgway working on an equine Dr. Kerry Ridgway    has a wealth of experience as an endurance rider, ride vet, equine chiropractor, equine acupuncturist, and saddle-fitter.  Kerry is a charter member of the Association for Equine Sports Medicine.  His endurance career started in 1967, and continues vetting rides.  He served nine years as chair of the AERC veterinary comittee, and did much to make the sport safer for horses, bringing 'Fit to Continue' criteria for completion, and the Cardiac Recovery Index to the sport.  He is in the AERC Hall of Fame.   Saddle-fitting link.
Dinah Rojek     has bred, raised and competed her competitive trail and endurance horses for over 25,000 miles.  She is an FEI official, an international team medal winner and has assisted other countries in development of their endurance programs. Dinah Rojek

Christoph Schork     is an alpinist and top level skier, who also is a top level endurance rider, trainer (over 35 horses) and instructor.  He is the 2007 Quilty Cup winner (Australia's 'Tevis'), with over 140 wins in endurance.  He has competed in Endurance internationally and nationally for over 20 years.  He operates with his partner, Dian Woodward, the Global Endurance Training Center in Utah. Meg Sleeper at WEG 2006 Dr. Meg Sleeper    VMD, is an associate veterinarian in cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania veterinary school with a research focus in therapeutic gene transfer and personal interest in exercise physiology. She has competed in endurance, almost entirely on homebreds, since 1985 with several PACS, WECS and a team gold medal under her belt. She has competed on 4 continents and is an FEI veterinarian.

Dr. Ann Stuart      has supported all levels of US international endurance teams for ten years as Team Veterinarian or on the Chef  D’Equipe staff, helping riders win gold, silver and bronze medals.

Brett Dr. Brett Tennent-Brown completed his veterinary training at Massey University in New Zealand in 1999 and then undertook an internship at a large racetrack practice in Sydney Australia.  From there, he was in a mixed large animal practitice in New Zealand, followed by an internal medicine residency at University of Illinois, then became the Emergency and Critical Care fellow at the New Bolton Center of the University of Pennsylvania.  Now he is on faculty at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dee Whelchel is from Atlanta, Georgia. She received a BS from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia in 1999 and a MS from the University of Georgia in 2003. Her thesis work examined the molecular actions of botulinum neurotoxin at the neuromuscular junction. Dee graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia in 2007 and completed an internship in Large Animal Medicine and Surgery at Texas A&M University in July 2008. Currently, Dee is a second year Large Animal Medicine Resident at the University of Georgia.
